Do you take payment online?
No. We accept cash or e-transfer only, paid once the repair is done. There is no payment step anywhere on this website.
How much will my repair cost?
Our prices are published and they do not change once we have quoted you. An oil leak repair is $100, a worm gear replacement is $90, and both together is $140. Diagnostics are $50, which comes off the price of any repair you go ahead with. Bowl-lift mixers are $25 more on everything except the re-grease.
Which mixers do you repair?
KitchenAid stand mixers, including both tilt-head and bowl-lift models. That covers Artisan, Classic and Professional machines as well as older KitchenAid models. If you are not sure which one you have, send a photo with your request.
Do you pick the mixer up?
Yes. Pick up and drop off is available across Vaughan and Kleinburg for $20. Outside those areas you are welcome to drop the mixer off and collect it.
What grease do you use?
Food-grade grease, the type KitchenAid specifies. It matters because a small amount can work its way past the shaft and into the bowl over time, so a non food-safe grease is not something we will use.
Is my old mixer worth repairing?
Usually, yes. A grease and gear service costs a fraction of a replacement mixer, and KitchenAid machines are built to be opened up and serviced. If we think yours is genuinely not worth repairing, we will tell you that before any work starts.
Can I just drop in?
Repairs are arranged in advance rather than walk-in, so please call or send a request first and we will set up a time for drop off or collection.
Do you repair other brands?
We specialise in KitchenAid stand mixers. Ask us about anything else and we will tell you honestly whether it is something we can take on.
How do I know if my mixer is tilt-head or bowl-lift?
On a tilt-head mixer the head tips back on a hinge and the bowl twists into a fitting on the base. Artisan, Classic and Ultra Power models are tilt-head. On a bowl-lift mixer the head is fixed and the bowl sits in a cradle you raise with a lever at the side. Professional 600, Pro 5 Plus and Pro Line models are bowl-lift. If you are not sure, send a photo with your request and we will tell you.
Why do bowl-lift mixers cost more to repair?
Bowl-lift machines are larger and heavier, and the bowl cradle and drivetrain are built differently, so the same repair takes longer to strip down and rebuild. The re-grease is the exception, which is why it costs the same on both types.
