A worn power cord is a safety problem, not just an annoyance. We replace the cord and the strain relief so the lead is properly anchored again.

The cord takes more abuse than any other part of a stand mixer. It gets wrapped, hung, pulled and yanked, and the point where it enters the mixer body is where the damage almost always starts.
Once the outer sheath cracks there, the inner conductors are exposed to the same flexing, and an intermittent connection or a short is not far behind. It is a genuine safety issue and one of the cheapest things on this list to put right.
We fit a new cord with proper strain relief so the repair lasts, rather than splicing a new plug onto a cord that is already failing.
